Curious about Buddhism?  Join Simone Woodage and Dante LaChina to find out what it's all about!

We wil cover topics such as:

  • What is Karma?
  • What is reincarnation?
  • Who do Buddhists pray to?
  • What are important religious items to Buddhists?

In this program, designed specifically with teenagers in mind, we will discuss the history of Buddhism and the effects of meditation on the brain and mental health.  We'll even practice three meditation techniques you can use to calm the body and mind.

Simone Woodage is a mother of three boys and a sought-after youth and family educator in the Houston area.  in addition to being a long-time practitioner at Dawn Mountain, she is trained as an Inner Kids instructor through Susan Kaiser Greenland, author of The Mindful Child:  How to Help Your Child Cope With Stress and Become Happier, Kinder and More Compassionate.  Simone also holds a certificate in mindfulness fundamentals from Mindful Schools.

Dante LaChina holds a B.S. in Psychology and is a long-time member of Dawn Mountain.  He also a member of the Interfaith Ministries Impulse Committee and the U of H Millenial Advisory Committee.
