Part II:  Mahayana's Unique Practices

Available via Online only

These practices are the heart of the Heart Essence (Nyingthig) teachings. "The whole of the ancient transmission essentialized into a single stream" says Adzom Drukpa. Come learn or further your practice with an essentialized immersion in key principles at play in the highest teachings of Tibet.  This course is self-paced, with live online Lama and peer support.

You meet refuge and make it your own, enhance it with bodhicitta, heart of the Great Way, clear away what you identify as obstacles with Vajrasattva, linger over the passion and imagery of mandala and severance.  Regular short videos and audios at a pace that gives you time to practice and gain familiarity before going on to the next.

Two unique features:  Building on "Words of My Perfect Teacher," we focus on "Lamplight for your Path," by Adzom Drukpa, one of the foremost Dzogchen masters of the early 20th century who, revering Words as perfect and complete, Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche told us, was inspired to write a commentary drawing from his own experience. Pre-publication first-time English translation available to participants.

Brilliant Basics is a course open to all interested persons. It serves as an indepth introduction to Tibetan Buddhism.  Part II is for folks who have already received training on the Shared Foundational practices in any of the Tibetan traditions.  If you have not taken Part I, but are interested, you may register for it here.
