Ngondro is the preliminary set of practices to transform and prepare you for a deeper path, building a foundation of practice in the basics of Buddhism.  It is often encouraged, and even sometimes required that a student has completed Ngondro before taking on more profound teachings.  These foundational practices are the heart of the Heart Essence (Nyingthig) teachings.

This is the concluding course, covering the topics of Severance, Guru Yoga and Powa.

Brilliant Basics is a course open to all interested persons. It serves as an indepth introduction to Tibetan Buddhism.  Part III is for folks who have already received training on the Shared Foundational practices in any of the Tibetan traditions.  If you have not taken Parts I and II, but are interested, you may register for them here:
